Unity is a resource that is generated by the Settlement, and consumed by buildings.
Generation
Settlements generate unity depending on what resources they have access to. Usually, each resource, if fully satisfied, generates between 1-2 unity per month. (Main article: Settlement) Some Edicts in the Captain's Office I increase the unity settlements produce, and one directly increases unity.
Consumption
- Outposts, like Quartz Mine or Oil Rig
- Quick Trade and Contracts
- Research Lab I
- Most Edicts in the Captain's Office I
- -0.25 per boosted building
- Instantly deliver resources to construct buildings
- Recovering a stuck Vehicle
- Instantly removing materials from buildings (can remove only ones for a released recipe)
- Instantly repair vehicle or building if broken when the settlement lacks Maintenance
