A pipe is a transport building used to transport Fluid Products; both liquid and gaseous (with the exception of liquid metals and glass, which are transported by Molten Channel).
In addition to being used as transports, pipes can be used for storage; which is especially useful for storing Fluid Products that can't be stored in a Fluid Storage [II•III•IV] such as Steam (High).
Pipes are not destroyed when Buried and are the only structure in the game with this trait. This gives the player the ability to bury pipes under the terrain if one wishes to go to the effort to do so.
