The Basic Distiller is a machine which processes Crude Oil into Diesel by consuming Coal while generating both Exhaust and Waste Water. It is the first machine which allows crucial Diesel production is rather inefficient and polluting in comparison to the later Distillation (Stage I) and associated machines. Players should take care to monitor the level of the Crude Oil reserve viewing the reserve status on their Pumpjacks to ensure they are not getting close to consuming all available Crude Oil on the island.
