Salt is a semi-processed material created by processing Seawater in an Evaporation Pond. Along with the Thermal Desalinator, it provides the sole method of producing Brine for use in Waste Water treatment and the creation of Plastic. It is has additional applications in the creation of Glass Mix which is required for the mid-game technologies such as the Truck, Tree Harvester, and Housing III.
