Molten Glass is an intermediate molten product with the primary purpose of being cast into Glass in a Glass Maker (II). It is initially produced by either smelting Glass Mix or recycled Broken Glass in a Blast Furnace (II) with Coal.

Later on the Blast Furnace may be replaced by an Arc Furnace. This uses Graphite instead of Coal and generates substantially less pollution. Be aware that the Arc Furnace uses an extraordinary amount of power, so you may need to keep using the Blast Furnace until nuclear power is online. The Arc Furnace II adds Water to the recipe, with an additional output of steam.

The creation of Molten Glass from Glass Mix generates a substantial amount of Slag.
