Brine is a semi-processed material derived from Seawater. It provides the sole source of Chlorine production for use in Waste Water treatment and the creation of Plastic. It is has applications in the treatment of Toxic Slurry as a byproduct of processing Uranium Ore Powder into Yellowcake for eventual use as a power source in Nuclear Reactors.

Brine is produced either by processing Seawater and any variant of steam in a Thermal Desalinator, or by evaporating Seawater in an Evaporation Pond. Excess Brine can be disposed of by dumping it into the ocean via Liquid Dump without generating Water Pollution.

Expect to produce significant amounts of it when desalinating. Rather than simply dumping all of it, it's probably better to reuse what you can for other processes to reduce overlap.
