Exhaust is a polluting byproduct of many high-temperature processes. This includes all furnaces, all Boiler (Coal) recipes, most Boiler (Gas) recipes and a few other buildings.

Common method of disipation is to release via a Smoke Stack [Large]. This way, each unit of Exhaust produces 0.5 points of Air Pollution. An alternative method, which becomes available in the midgame, is to recycle using Exhaust Scrubber.
