Ethanol

Ethanol is a fluid product produced from the fermentation of Corn Mash or Sugar in a Fermentation Tank. The yeast additionally consumes Oxygen and breathes out Carbon Dioxide. Alternatively, Ethanol can be directly synthesized from a mixture of Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide in a Chemical Plant II, so it can be produced from non-biological sources if so desired.

It can be used directly as a fuel in Boiler (Gas), releasing only Carbon Dioxide as a waste product. Ethanol is also an essential ingredient to make Disinfectant, and can be used to make Diesel, Rubber and Plastic without needing petroleum products. A small amount is used to make Lens in the production chain for Electronics IV.
