Slag Crushed can be dumped and used as landfill, to include filling in the [[ocean]], just as it's Slag Crushed variant. [[Farm]]s cannot be built, even partially, directly on top of Slag and it will prevent its placement. As of {{version|ver=Beta 0.3.11}}, if Slag Crushed is dumped then subsequently mined back up, it will be converted back to Slag. This is a consequence of the game limiting the number of textures required on the island and it does not have any known benefits to the player.
The only industrial use for Slag is in the production of  {{infoicon|Concrete Slab|plural=s}}, after running it through a [[Crusher]] to make {{infoicon|Slag Crushed}}. Any Slag not used to make concrete will have to be dumped.

Slag is a loose material created mostly as a byproduct of manufacturing. It is generated in significant quantities as part of metal smelting and Toxic Slurry processing.

The only industrial use for Slag is in the production of Concrete Slabs, after running it through a Crusher to make Slag Crushed. Any Slag not used to make concrete will have to be dumped.

Note that even though it is a mostly useless byproduct, dumping Slag does not increase Landfill Pollution. Some materials that would otherwise cause pollution, such as Exhaust, can be converted into Slag for safer disposal.

Farms cannot be built if any part is directly on Slag. If you want to do farming on top of a slag landfill, put down a layer of Dirt first.
